Digital Life Sciences are proud to have worked with children, parents and staff at Evelina London Children’s Hospital to design a fantastic new website that launches today.
Evelina London cares for children and young people from across south London and south east England. Children’s services are mainly located in a state-of-the-art building at Waterloo, but care is also provided to young patients in the community in Lambeth and Southwark. Over 55,000 children and young people were cared for last year.
Digital Life Sciences were commissioned to develop the designs and content strategy for the new website because of our previous experience of creating the Birmingham Children’s Hospital website, as well as our firm belief in a user-centred design process.
Children, young people, parents and staff have been involved in the design of the Evelina London building, brand identity and care pathways. Our brief was to involve children and young people, their families and staff in order to deliver a site designed to meets the needs of the hospital’s audiences.
We ran a number of focus groups and interviews with children, staff and parents to help us develop the right style and voice. We also worked with Guy’s and St Thomas’ communications team and the technical partner Zengenti to support the production. Feedback in our user testing this year has been very positive and we’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
